        มาตรา ๖๔ บุคคลจะแก้ตัวว่าไม่รู้กฎหมายเพื่อให้พ้นจากความรับผิดในทางอาญาไม่ได้ แต่ถ้าศาลเห็นว่า ตามสภาพและพฤติการณ์ ผู้กระทำความผิดอาจจะไม่รู้ว่าฎหมายบัญญัติว่าการกระทำนั้นเป็นความผิด ศาลอาจอนุญาตให้แสดงพยานหลักฐานต่อศาล และถ้าศาลเชื่อว่า ผู้กระทำไม่รู้ว่ากฎหมายบัญญัติไว้เช่นนั้น ศาลจะลงโทษน้อยกว่าที่กฎหมายกำหนดไว้ สำหรับความผิดนั้นเพียงใดก็ได้

Unofficial Translation

         Section 64. A person may not excuse himself or herself from criminal liability on the grounds of ignorance of law. However, if the court views that, according to the nature and circumstances, the offender may not know that the law provides that such an act is an offense, the court may permit him or her to produce evidence before it, and if the court believes that he or she does not know that the law provides so, the court may impose a lesser punishment to any extent than that provided by law for such offense.
